Fees are confirmed by email when you enquire, and depend on session length. Payment is required in advance of the initial assessment call to secure your appointment — this confirms the time is booked specifically for you, with my full focus and attention on the issues you bring.
How to begin
- Email liz@kaleidoscopepsychotherapy.co.uk with a brief overview of your worries or concerns, and the age of the person needing therapy.
- I aim to respond within 24 hours, and can often offer a 25-minute initial telephone assessment within the first week.
- Regular psychotherapy sessions, online or in person, can usually begin within a week of that first contact.
Common questions
What does the initial assessment involve?
A discussion that gives you the chance to talk a little about what's troubling you, and to ask any questions about therapy and the way I work. I'll also ask a few questions about your symptoms and relevant physical or mental health history, so we can establish that we'll work well together.
How long does therapy last?
This varies with the difficulties you're experiencing, how long they've been affecting you, your age, and your goals. Many clients attend weekly sessions for 6–12 months, then move to fortnightly or monthly as symptoms ease. Others prefer occasional check-ins once they've done the initial work — useful when life throws up new stress, grief or a big transition.
What is your cancellation policy?
48 hours' notice is required; less notice will incur the full session fee. This keeps appointments available for people who can attend, and gives me the flexibility to accommodate them.
